2 pounds ground turkey (97% fat-free)
3 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
1 egg
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
2 tablespoon grill seasoning
1 finely chopped small yellow onion
1 finely chopped medium carrot
1 finely chopped celery stalk
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh oregano
1 tablespoon fresh thyme
1/4 cup fresh basil, cut into strips
1 28 oz. can of diced tomatoes
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Spoon half of the diced tomatoes into the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish.
2. In a large bowl combine the ground turkey, vegetables, garlic, tomato paste, egg, Worcestershire Sauce, grill seasoning, and bread crumbs. Mix them well with clean hands. Add the herbs, and combine well with your hands.
3. Using your hands, form the turkey mixture into golf-ball sized balls, and place them in the prepared glass baking dish. When all of the meat balls are in the baking dish, spoon the remaining half can of diced tomatoes over the meatballs.
4. Bake the meatballs at 375°F for 1 hour.
