This recipe for beef stroganoff is an easy one-pot meal that your family will love. All you have to do is brown the meat, throw all of the other ingredients into the pan and let it cook while you do other stuff. You will end up with a fast, delicious and wholesome dish with very little work. Now that’s a great recipe!
Ingredients:
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 yellow medium yellow onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
2 cups frozen peas
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
4 cups water
4 cups egg wide egg noodles
_____________________________________________________________
1. Heat a very large skillet (or electric skillet) on high heat, add one tablespoon olive oil, and the ground beef. Season the ground beef with the half of the salt and pepper.
2. Once the meat begins to brown, turn the heat down to medium and add the diced onion, garlic clove, thyme, and remaining salt and pepper. Allow to cook for five minutes or so, stirring occasionally, until the onions become translucent.
3. Add the cream of mushroom soup, water, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until the soup is well incorporated into the water.
4. Add the noodles and frozen peas. Make sure that the noodles are covered with liquid. If they are not, add more water to the pan until the noodles are just covered with liquid. Put the lid on and lower the temperature to low.
5. Check on the pan occasionally to make sure that all of the liquid has not cooked off. If the liquid has cooked off, add a little more water to keep the noodles from sticking to the bottom of the pan. As soon as the noodles are al dente, the stroganoff is ready. This should take about 10 to 15 minutes.
6. Serve and enjoy!
That’s it, a tasty dish that the entire family will love, and only one pan to clean when the meal is over!
