How To Make Halloween Alcoholic Punch

by on October 29, 2010

You can’t have an adult Halloween party without punch.  This punch recipe has the deep red color of blood, the fruitiness of several different fruit juices, the kick from some vodka and orange liqueur, and the fizz from soda.  This is a punch that is sure to please a crowd of thirsty monsters, and it makes enough that you will probably not have to make more than one batch, so you can keep enjoying your own Halloween party!

Halloween Alcoholic Punch

Blood Red Punch

1 750 ml bottle vodka

1/2 cup Orange liqueur

6 cups (48 ounces) cranberry juice

6 cups apple juice

6 cups red fruit punch

2 liters ginger ale

Chill all ingredients overnight.  About an hour before the party, combine the alcohols, juices, and ginger ale in a large punch bowl.  A large soup pot can also be used if you do not have a large enough punch bowl to accommodate this much punch.  Stir the ingredients together thoroughly, to make sure the alcohol is evenly distributed throughout the punch.  Add ice.  A large block of ice works well for this situation, because it melts slower than individual ice cubes and will not water down the punch as quickly.

For a Halloween party, water frozen in latex gloves make excellent hand-shaped blocks of ice.  To do this, simply fill the latex gloves with water, close the opening securely with a rubber band (so it will not leak) and freeze.  Make sure to use powder  free gloves, because you will not want corn starch all over your ice block  hands.

There you go, an easy and delicious punch that is bound to please all of the monsters at your Halloween party.  Have a ghoulishly good time!
